Our Angel In Heaven
Not too many years ago
We felt our lives complete.
Our daughter, Cathy Lou, was born,
So tiny and so sweet.
She grew up, oh so quickly,
The years passed by so fast.
But, happiness with Cathy Lou
We found was not to last.
God in His great wisdom
Called our Cathy "Safely Home".
Now we're just left with memories
Of the happiness we've known.
She was pure and sweet and loving,
Untouched by worldly sin.
So, Jesus opened Heavens Gate
And said, "Cathy Lou come in."
We think about her often,
Though it's been many years.
Time might have made it easier
But, it hasn't dried our tears.
Our comfort is in knowing
She's in the mansion Jesus made.
And one day soon we'll join her
Where the roses never fade.
