My Hand In His Hand

I place my hand in His hand

As I live from day to day

For I know that He will guide me

So I choose the right pathway.

He has been with me through sorrow,

Shared my tears of grief and then,

Filled my heart with hope and courage

That one day I’d smile again.

He gave me comfort knowing

Loved ones did not go alone

For He held their hands and led them

Up the stairway “Safely Home”.

I know  He will be with me

When my life on earth is o’er.

He will lead me home to Heaven

Where I’ll live forevermore.
