It's True

I have a friend who said to me

that she loves my poetry so

but I always write of leaving

and she doesn't want me to go.

Well it's true I long for Heaven

where my loved ones wait for me.

And I long to join my Saviour

where I'll live eternally.

But I'll try to write more cheerful,

I won't say I want to leave.

I'll just write about God's great love

for all people who believe.
